Purchases and subscriptions
I paid but the app does not show my purchase.
Open the app's settings and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple or Google account you paid with. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Real Headshot. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep access until the paid period ends.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or your order history in Google Play. We are happy to help if you get stuck.
I got a new phone. Do I lose my purchase?
No for subscriptions and Lifetime — install the app and tap Restore purchases. Unused team seats are stored only on the phone that bought them, so they may not move to a new phone.
The payment went through but the photo did not save.
The app keeps a credit for that photo, so your next save is free. Try saving again.
Team mode
How does team mode work?
One person shoots the whole team on one phone. Buy a pack for 5, 10 or 25 people, add names, and shoot each person. Retakes of the same person do not use another seat.
Can team members use their own phones?
Not at this time. Team seats work on the phone that bought them.
Photos
Where are my photos saved?
In your phone's photo library, with a file name that starts with RealHeadshot_. You can also share directly from the app.
Which size should I choose?
Square (1:1) fits most profile pictures. Portrait (4:5) is taller and fits more of your shoulders. You choose when you save, and you can save both.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Photos are processed on your phone. See the Privacy Policy.
Does the app use AI to make my face?
No. The app never creates or replaces your face. On-device machine learning is used only to find your face and separate you from the background.
Getting a better headshot
- Wipe the camera lens first — a smudge makes the whole photo hazy.
- Face a window or soft light; avoid a bright light behind you.
- Hold the phone at eye level, about an arm's length away.
- Stand in front of a plain wall so the background separates cleanly.
- Follow the on-screen and spoken coaching before you take the shot.
